Western New York Flash goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo will be sidelined for 2-4 weeks after sustaining a Grade 1 right acromioclavicular (AC) joint separation.

The injury occurred in the Flash’s 0-0 draw at Kansas City on Thursday evening, after D’Angelo made a save in the 13th minute. D’Angelo was replaced by Chantel Jones who held the Blues scoreless for the remaining 77 minutes to help earn the Flash’s first shutout of the season.

D’Angelo, a rookie out of the University of South Carolina, will aim to return for the Flash’s game against Chicago on June 6 at Sahlen’s Stadium.
