Friday’s match will be streamed live on YouTube and can be watched by clicking the link here. Fans can also follow live play-by-play at the Flash's official Twitter page, @WNYFlash, and can join the conversation by using the hashtag #WNYFvPTFC.
The Flash will be looking to end a four-game winless streak, as the club last won on August 3 at Sky Blue. WNY is coming off of a 2-0 loss against the Chicago Red Stars last Saturday, after Christen Press and Jen Hoy both scored for the visiting team.
Portland, on the other hand, rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie the Washington Spirit 3-3 in their home finale on Sunday evening. Down 2-0, Alex Morgan, Tobin Heath and Diana Matheson scored three unanswered goals to go up 3-2. A late Crystal Dunn goal salvaged a point for Washington.
Goals will be important for both teams on Friday night as the Flash have been shutout nine times this season while Portland has been held scoreless eight times.
Fans will also recognize multiple faces on the opposite side of the pitch, as the Thorns feature former Flash players Alex Morgan, McCall Zerboni and Kat Williamson. Christine Sinclair, also a member of the Flash's 2011 Championship team, has played with the Thorns since 2013 but has been ruled out for the match.
Friday will be Back to School Night in Rochester as kids in attendance will receive a free locker magnet at Gate D, while supplies last. $1 Sahlen's hot dogs will also be available with a voucher, which can be claimed in the main concourse. The first 2,000 fans through Gate D will also receive a team photo card.
Tickets for Friday's season finale can be purchased at wnyflash.com or by phone by calling the Sahlen's Stadium Box Office at (585) 454-KICK.
