Ryan Louis joined the WNY Flash Academy in June of 2020.
A native of Southport, England, in addition to his duties with WNY Flash Academy, Louis currently serves as the Interim Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Canisius College.
Prior to receiving the interim title, Louis spent two seasons as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Canisius, helping to lead the Golden Griffins to a combined 11 victories. Louis also spent three seasons (2015-17) as a volunteer assistant coach with the men’s soccer program at Buffalo State, serving on a staff with current Flash Academy Coach Francesco Cardillo that earned United Soccer Coaches East Region Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2017 after pacing the Bengals to a 14-3-3 overall record and the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1984.
At the club level, before joining the WNY Flash Academy, Louis spent time as the Technical Director for GPS Buffalo, earning GPS-New York Coach of the Year honors in 2015 and guiding the club’s 03B Regional Team to the USYS National Championship in 2018.
In addition to holding a USSF National “B” License, Louis has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Lancashire and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Canisius College.
Louis and his wife, Emily, currently reside in Kenmore, N.Y. with their son, Jackson.
