WNY Flash Academy Tryout Process
Did you know you can jump in a current Flash training session for an early evaluation, or to just check out the Flash environment? Click here to connect with our Boys Director, Regan Steele, or our Girls Director, Rob Jackman.
Directors & coaches are tasked with building multiple teams from U8-U18/U19 for boys and girls. Tryout evaluation determines player placement on teams which encourages soccer and personal development at all levels of experience and commitment. Tryouts for the 2022-2023 season are starting in late May, early June 2022. We are holding tryouts in three locations: Flash Fields (South), ECC (North), and TSE (Central). All registrations will be handled through PlayMetrics. If you are joining us for the first time, click here. If you're a returning player, log into PlayMetrics with your current login info.
All players and families at tryouts will be contacted by a director or coach. This will take time, so be patient. Players accepting an offer to join a team will be emailed an Invitation to join their team. Players have 48 hours to register for the season once they've received their invitation. With that players acceptance, they secure their spot on their team's roster. If a player delays, they may jeopardize the offer and another player may be offered that roster spot. This process must move quickly, as there are many levels of teams to build at each age.
Our Player Pathway was created to develop complete soccer players & teams in a safe and supportive environment. Teams & players will excel in the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological areas of the game. Our goal is to instill positive core values & excellent work ethic to our young players while providing them a platform where they can succeed at the collegiate and professional levels of play.
We urge everyone to familiarize themselves with our Player Pathway as they grow in the game of soccer with our club!
