WNY Flash Academy Tryouts are held at Flash Fields, West Seneca Soccer Complex, and Williamsville South High School.
We have put together a basic tryout guide that each parent should follow throughout the tryout process as well as what to bring and 'Frequently Asked Questions' below:
- Check dates / times / locations for the appropriate age group and birth year.
- Registration can only be done through the links above; incomplete registrations will not be accepted.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to start time to check-in
- All players are recommended to attend all or as many tryout dates as possible.
What to bring:
- Dress in soccer apparel, i.e. soccer jersey, shorts, and socks.
- Soccer cleats
- Ball - fully inflated
- Shin Guards
- Plenty of water

Do current WNY Flash Academy players have to attend tryouts?
Yes, we recommend all players attend all or as many tryouts dates as possible.
Does my child have to attend all four tryout dates?
Yes, we recommend players attend as many tryout dates as possible. If you are unable to attend please contact the proper Director of Coaching - Girls Director of Coaching Rob Jackman, rjackman@wnyflashsoccer.com or Boys Director of Coaching Regan Steele, rsteele@wnyflashsoccer.com.
Do I need to register online?
Yes, every player must register online; incomplete registrations will not be accepted.
My child is interested in the WNY Flash Academy but our family cannot afford to pay the fees, is financial assistance available?
Yes. The WNY Flash Academy has a financial aid fund but the resources are limited. Financial aid is awarded strictly on financial need and not on soccer ability. If you are offered a roster spot you can immediately apply for aid from the club. Our financial aid application can be found here. Financial aid funds are donated by parent contributions and fundraised.
How does the uniform process work?
Once you have registered and paid the required commitment fee, you will be advised about uniform try-on and the ordering process through WeGotSoccer.
How do I know what age group my child should be trying out for?
Teams are built by players birth years - please register for your appropriate birth year.
